Long sleeves - it stays in place, your child's arms are covered from sun or wind, they can run and play with in the sand, and when the fun is done, you can strap them into a carseat!

Hooded - shield them from the sun and towel off from head to bottom. I line my hoods with fun cotton prints for added color and durability.

Pull-over - just slip it over their head and tie in place at the neck.

Run-free length - have you ever tried to see a kid run in a hooded towel? Doesn't work, does it? On most kids, the poncho ends at the knee (unless they have already worn them several summers).

Multi-Year sizing - these are available in 0-12, 2T, 3T and 4T. However, the fit is such that they can wear them for many years with the cuff being changed to accomodate.

Construction that lasts - Jensport ponchos have only two exposed seams and both use the fabrics factory-finished fabric edges. Hood seams are serged and then concealed by the lining and edges are finished with hand made bias binding to match the hood lining.

Custom Details - whether you specify or not I might just applique something cute to the front. I have used flower motifs, flip flops, fish, seahorses, anchors, the posibilities are endless.
