Vintage Silver Rosary Case with Pope Puis XII on Cover
Description
This is a silver Rosary Case from the Papacy of Pope Pius XII, (Latin: Pius PP. XII; Italian: Pio XII), born Eugenio Maria Giuseppe Giovanni Pacelli (2 March 1876 – 9 October 1958), reigned as the 260th Pope, head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of Vatican City.This case does not include the rosary. The case is hinged. The top of the case has the head of the Pope raised in silver with the inscription of Pope XII on one side and Pont-Max on the other side of the head. This case can also be used as a pill box. The case seems too smal to me to be for an entire rosary, possibly it was used for just the cross.
