The wooden bottlestoppers are handmade by my husband on the lathe and each one is unique. Danish oil is applied to bring out the beauty of the wood and then several coats of polyurethane are applied for shine and durability.

This stopper is made from recycled plywood scraps from around our wood shop. Pieces are glued together to form a block which is then lathed. A wonderful stripe pattern emerges after lathing. Nothing goes to waste in this Yankee's workshop!

This one is about 5 inches long (12.5 cm) from top of wood to bottom of the metal stopper part. The stopper on this one is gold tone in the vintage style which has an interesting ripple to it.

Each stopper comes in a luxurious wine colored, gold lined velvet bag perfect for gift giving.

The stoppers are not like those cork ones that become brittle and break off leaving you with just the top part. The heavy metal stopper is screwed into the wooden topper and is virtually indestructible. The rubber gives you a tight seal. Fits most standard size corked wine bottles.
