Totally Teal Mohair silk handspun yarn, 7 oz - free shipping

Description

These two skeins of three-ply mohair and silk handspun yarn are a very deep teal color, with strands of lighter teal here and there throughout. The picture is pretty close to the way the yarn looks.

I would NOT recommend using this yarn for next-to-skin garments, unless you have the skin sensitivity of Kevlar. :-D While it's not ultra-coarse, it is a very hairy mohair, and thus probably irritating to most. It does felt very well, however, so I would suggest using it for such things as a felted purse or other felted accessory, or part of a vest.

There are approximately 210 yards (7 oz; 12 wpi), and you can probably use a U.S. size 7 or 8 knitting needle. The yarn is from a smoke-free home, and stored in sealed containers with lavender sachets to keep away moths. Hand wash or dry clean only!
