Jane Austen, born December 16, 1775 was an English novelist, whose realism, biting social commentary and masterly use of free indirect speech, earned her a place as one of the most widely read and most beloved writers in English literature.From 1811 until 1816, with the release of Sense and Sensibility (1811), Pride and Prejudice (1813), Mansfield Park (1814) and Emma (1816), she obtained success as a published writer.

I created this miniature version of Jane in a blue gown with white lace trim and white bonnet cap with black satin ribbon. Jane has a hand painted face, hand styled hair, and she even carries a mini book and quill to finish her great brainchild, Pride and Prejudice!

Jane is a mere four and half inches tall and is made pattern free.
