Spook-tacular Witch Hat - Halloween Lampwork Focal Bead

Description

I think this may be the largest witch hat I've made so far. This hat has a black center with transparent grey encasing. If you hold the bead to the light you can see the black glass in a sort of spine looking pattern. This started as a "chamber" bead. The focal is flattened on the back and the brim of the hat only covers three sides so that the hat lies nicely agianst your skin. This bead is autographed with a "T" on the back and comes with the two matching beads in the photos.

Mandrel Size: hat is 3/32 and others are 1/16
Glass: Moretti
Bead Size: about 38 mm tall, 44 mm tall if you count where the rim of the hat hangs down.

All beads are made by me in my home based studio.

Photos were taken in natural sunlight. Some colors may appear different on different monitors.

All beads go from the flame into my kiln for proper annealing for strength, durability, and longevity. They are then cleaned with a dremel tool for immediate use or collection.
