3/32inch (2.4mm) Stainless Steel Mandrels - 10 x 11inch

Description

This size is perfect for bigger beads that require repeated marvering.

Slightly bigger again than the 5/64" (2mm) size, these are great for large beads that may require a sturdier wire or multiple strings to go through the hole.
I have yet to bend any of these mandrels & in the past two years I have made some whopping great 5 inch plus beads on them.

Made of 316L stainless steel these, have been cut, ground deburred & polished to a nice slightly bevelled end with no spurs or points. I've also cut them a bit longer as I find they have a nicer balance, especially for those of you who enjoy making longer beads.

A note on 316L stainless steel: it has a low carbon content, which essentially means that it is more stable at higher temperatures than other types & has the best corrosion resistance. Something to consider when it is constantly being exposed to both flame & water. The melt point on 316L is 2500 degrees Fahrenheit, glass is considerably lower than this.
