FAQ: What is a Xavychup?

Xavychups were created by author/artist Wendy C. Allen. A Xavychup is a Faery or Fae. They are tiny fantasy creatures - mermaids, faeries, gnomes, trolls, demons, flying cats, divas, goddesses, and angels - that exist on The Planet Ptarmagin of The Twighlight Manor series.

FAQ: Are your dolls toys?

NO! My dolls are NOT toys and are NOT intended for children. They contain small parts which could be pulled off and pose as a chocking hazard. Some of them have Swarovski Crystals attached to them (Swarovski crystals are made out of lead). Most have yarn and beads attached. Many have tiny clay faces glued on. Some are painted.

Each doll is a one of a kind work of art and should be treated as such. They are meant to be displayed on your mantel, alter, desk, or bookshelf. They are not toys! Please do not give one of my dolls to children.

All of my Art Dolls are made from 100% cotton, stuffed with poly-fiber "teddy bear" stuffing. They are decorated with various items, usually beads, clay, yarn, gemstones, etc. My Art Dolls are intended for use on pagan alters, in feng shui, or as a shelf/desktop decoration and are not suitable for children.

INFO ABOUT THE FABRIC USED:

In addition to being a doll designer, I am also a fabric designer. All of my dolls are hand sewn by me, out of fabric designed by me. You will not find any of the fabrics used on my dolls at any craft, fabric, or retail store, nor will you find any fabric sold craft, fabric, or retail stores used in the construction of my dolls.

My fabric designs are printed on high-quality 100% cotton from Moda, which is marketed in many independent fabric stores as part of the Bella solid series. It is lightweight combed cotton broadcloth with an extremely soft hand and is perfect for quilting and sewing. The quality of the fabric is quilting-weight Bella cotton (by Moda).

My art studio is in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. All designs were hand painted by me in watercolors and/or pastels, than the art is sent to Spoonflower (a company that prints fabric for fashion and quilt designers. The art was created by me in Maine. The fabric was printed by Spoonflower in North Carolina. Spoonflower fabrics are printed with water-soluble, nontoxic inks and are washfast and lightfast.
