Oxeye Daisy Tile
Description
This lovely handmade tile depicts a stylized daisy flower inside a circular border. It measures approximately 3" square, varying slightly due to its handmade nature. I've glazed the tile in an under glaze black, wiped the surface clean, leaving the black in the recessed areas, and then over glazed the whole tile in a glossy turquoise....very pretty!I carved the tile in wax, poured a plaster mould, and hand pressed the mould into a slab of porcelain clay. The design is based on a Victorian image, where I get a lot of my inspirations!
