Duck Cove - Original Oil Painting

"Duck Cove", by Lynn Cyr

I'm one of those lucky folks who happen to live year-round on a gorgeous lake. We've been here for over 3 years now, and we absolutely love it! My husband is an avid fly fisherman, and sometimes I go with him, just to hang out and enjoy the scenery.

This painting was based on a tiny sketch that I did on the boat, which is just around the bend from my house. I call it Duck Cove, because that's where all the ducks seem to hang out! That evening, the colors in the sky were just fantastic!! But since I only had black ink to work with, I had to actually write down what I thought the colors were - and make sense of it while back in my studio. Despite my crude descriptions, I was happy with the result :)

Painted in oils on a 8 x 10" hardboard panel, it's an original (NOT a print) and signed by the artist (me!). I chose to sell this painting unframed, in order to keep the price lower, and also for ease of shipping. This also allows the buyer to choose what frame works for their decor.
