Antique Eqyptian Cigarette Case

Description

This little treasure is a diamond in the rough!
It is so unique is a rather cultured little decoration to have displayed.

I used these as an eye catcher on top of my books in my bookshelf. . .the possibilities for these are endless, as they give a rich and interesting boost to decorating.

This case is from manufacturer Dr. A. Bustany from Cairo, Egypt. These particular cases are the "Che Rif" variety, a different blend from the regulars.

This case's interior has a sketch of the Dr. A. Bustany factory/building in Cario, Egypt. There is also a sentence under the sketch that states in French: "la plus grande fabrique de cigarettes de luxe en Eqypte"...which translates roughly to 'the largest cigarette factory luxury Egypt' ;)

This case's design is from between 1930-1936

The case measures approx. 3" X 3 1/2" X 1/2"
