Nice Girl earrings - sterling and fine silver

I formed these sweet little hoops out of fine silver and hung them from sterling silver earwires I designed to replicate the circular shape. All parts were forged and formed by me.

Very delicate-looking but easy to wear!

Total length is about 1.25 inches, or 30mm. The little hoops are about 10mm in diameter.

These earrings can also feature oxidized sterling earwires or oxidized fine silver hoops. See the last picture as an example

. a b o u t . s i l v e r .

"Fine" silver is 99.9% pure silver, whereas sterling silver is an alloy made of 92.5% silver. The remaining percent is usually copper. You can also find Hill Tribe silver, sometimes called Thai silver, which is 95-99% pure.

The more pure the silver, the softer the metal. I harden the fine silver in my pieces through hammering techniques and tumbling.
