so simple gold and aquamarine earrings

Description

These delicate earrings were each hand-crafted from gold-filled wire and a single aquamarine bead. They were hammered and shaped by hand to create their interesting shape and to hold the aquamarine in place.

A NOTE ABOUT GOLD FILLED WIRE :: 14/20 (or 1/20th 14Karat) gold-filled, or gold overlay, is made by heat and pressure bonding a thin layer of gold to a brass core. It is a superior product to gold plate as it contains much more gold and will not flake or peel off when bent, hammered or heated. A 14/20 Gold Filled piece is usually considered a lifetime piece of jewelry. :D
