Jack Skellington is a character in the Nightmare before Christmas, a wonderful film.
I sketched out his face and decided to knit it up and see what it looked like.
I knit a washcloth, which is what is featured here, but the template pattern could also be used in many other ways, such as on a pillow, a messenger bag, back of a hoodie, a pirate flag, the possibilities are endless!
The nice thing about this template is that the front and the back of the finished item are just as good as each other.

In order to be able to knit this happy pumpkin pattern all you need to be able to do is knit and purl.

1 set US # 4 / 3.5mm knitting needles
