Description
This endangered rhino lives in Africa with his little bird friend. The bird noisily warns the rhino if there is danger, which is why the tick bird is called “askari wa kifaru” in Swahili, meaning “the rhino’s guard.” The bird gets a meal out of the deal.I painted the image for this screen free hand and print each shirt by hand on an American Apparel 3-6 month onesie using a blue ink. The bird is then stitched by hand and a French knot is added as the rhino’s eye.
