It's just like those used and sold in Japan, and this set also comes with a matching elastic band -- to keep the box closed -- and a matching set of chopsticks.

The lunch box is all a lovely golden yellow, and the lid has a subtle pattern on it, with little plum blossoms (or ume in Japanese) in the corner, with the phrase "Urara." The rest of the container is a golden yellow with a black-colored lid for the bottom compartment, and a matching yellow lid on the top one.

When put together, the lunch box is just 3 5/8 inches tall, about 4 1/2 inches wide, and about 3 3/8 inches deep. The bottom tray is about 1 7/8 inches tall, while the top one is just over 1 3/4 inches tall, so they're both a good size for rice and other food items.

The container is microwave- and dishwasher-safe.

The elastic band is about 4 3/4 inches tall on one side, but it stretches, so it should fit this case just fine. The chopsticks have the yellow plum blossom design on them, and they're roughly 8 3/4 inches tall, labeled as "lacquer chopsticks."
