Little Wool House No. 1

Description

The first little house done in wool. I love how cozy they seem in wool. Made from recycled wool suiting, this house has been hand sewn with organic cotton thread. That's right each individual shingle was hand stitched for this house. It has been stuffed with organic cotton batting.
Ochre with a plaid roof as well as an appliquéd red door and plaid windows. This house also features embroidery details around the windows done with vintage crewel wool.

Dimensions: 5 1/2"x3 1/2"x 6 1/2"

This house is part of a series of cloth houses made to benefit Maine Centers for Women, Work and Community. Women, Work and Communities' mission is to improve the economic lives of Maine women and their families by increasing their income, assets, and earning potential and their quality of life.
