Swallow keepsake ornament or pin, hand embroidered

Description

This feminine handmade mini art piece features a graceful swallow bird in flight on mint green linen. Swallows are symbolic in many cultures and can mean rejuvenation, agility, rebirth.

Based on my original design, (Artist's Own Pattern, copyright July 2009, do not copy), expertly embroidered by my Mother.

Next, I wrapped the embroidered fabric over a disc of thick Strathmore Linen Canvas archival art paper, padding the underside with unbleached cotton fill so the look is slightly pillowy. Finally, I hand stitched the embroidered disc to a felt backing that I had first reinforced with interfacing and applied a a chrome pin and satin ribbon.

Spot clean only, gently brush off dust or use a pet sticky roll to clean. Please read the SPECIAL RETURNS POLICY on brooches in my shop policies that restricts refunds and returns to certain conditions being met.

I will ship in a stiff jewelry grade box and a Ziploc bag for protection from moisture, First Class or First Class International. Combined international purchases of $50 or over need to go insured Priority mail. Photo props not included.
