Big Bar Pink Grapefruit natural, cold process soap

Description

Pink grapefruit is my daughter's favorite blend! It is a refreshing combination of tart grapefruit essential oil and sweet cane sugar. It is fruity and tart and fresh and makes bath time extra fun! It has less than 2% of high quality fragrance oils added to stabilize the blend.

The addition of natural pink clay gives this bar a nice "slip" which makes it a great shaving soap.

This is a hefty hand-cut bar of soap, weighing between 5 and 7 oz (142-200 grams). It is approximately 3 1/4" by 1 3/4". It is chunky in shape, so it won't thin out and break in the middle after continued use.

It has been cured for atleast 4 weeks to ensure a hard, long lasting bar. If it is kept in a proper soap dish and drained well between uses, it will hold up through many, many baths, showers, and hand washings—no messy, gooey, melting bars here!

Our bars are loaded with shea and cocoa butters and have abundant rich, moisturizing bubbles. We do not need to add any artificial foaming agents (ie. SLS). The natural glycerin is retained in each bar, and the combination of rich oils and moisturizing, protective butters, provides loads of fluffy lather.

We make soap the old fashioned way combining olive oil, coconut oil, organic palm kernal oil, rice bran oil, castor oil, shea butter, and cocoa butter with sodium hydroxide, also known as lye. The sodium hydroxide reacts with the oils and the whole gooey mess turns into a rich, emollient soap. Pretty nifty, huh?

If you have tried natural soap before and found that it either dried your skin, or turned to mush, give one of our bars a try! We don’t sell anything that we don’t first enjoy bathing with ourselves! If you’ve never tried handmade soap before, you don’t even know what you are missing. Commercial “soap” is filled with detergents, hardening agents, and perfumes and is not really soap at all.
