GREEN LEAF ART QUILT

Description

This Art Quilt is the last one in my seasons leaf series. The background fabric is a lovely olive green and light blue batik. I have hand written on top of this the names of each season to symbolize the changing of the leaves' with each new season. The writing is done with acid-free gel ink. The leaf is raw edged appliqued in a hand dyed cotton fabric and is an abstract design. The piece is machine quilted. It is embellished with beads, hand stitching and a bit of gold paint. There is a metal ring on the back for easy hanging. It is 13.5" x 9.25". The piece is signed and dated. 'And the leaves began to dance against the wind'.
