Butter Yellow Booties and Why I Made Them
Description
FREE SHIPPING - United States and CanadaThis pair of booties were made using yellow yarn. They were so much fun to make. I machine washed and dried them after I made them. They are machine washable and dryable. They are very soft. The bottom of the sole is approx. 2-1/2" in length. The yarn is acrylic.
There is a wonderful story behind these little booties and you can be a part of it. (I enclose a card with the story upon the purchase of the booties.)
Now for the true story. I was reading an old magazine I had from the mid-1980's. Under the letters to the editor, a 97-year old lady had written in and she said she had come up with this pattern on her own. The way they are made they are supposed to stay on the infant's foot better. Her only request was that she was afraid she would die before anyone tried the pattern and her wish was to share her idea with the world.
I tried it and am giving you a chance to be the end part of the story. They are wonderful little booties. They have no seams. I am sure she would be proud and pleased to know where her idea is today.
I hope that a new little baby gets to wear them with pride. Do you realize that from the time the lady was born until this new little baby will be born is a span of over 120 years - easily. I hope you will join me in being a part of this touching story and carry a part of history into modern day. We will have made her dream come true!
