Crazy Quilt Covered Hat Box -- L'Enfant de Marie

Description

"L'Enfant de Marie" is an original mixed media assemblage incorporating a small papier mache hat box embellished with a crazy quilt. The crazy quilt is made up of new and vintage fabrics and trims, including cotton, wool, satin, vintage lace and crochet, ribbons, bugle and seed beads, vintage buttons, a holy medal, and a vintage French prayer card. It is hand embroidered anall items are securely attached.

The box measures 6" in diameter and 4.5" high, and has been painted pale blue with a distressed finish. The inside of the box has been lined with a piece of a vintage Irish wool blanket. It would be perfect for holding trinkets or mementos.
