Fox, Feathers (brass locket diptych with original miniature paintings)

Description

On one side, a settling flurry of feathers; on the other, the image of a fox, its muzzle ever so slightly stained.

These narrative keepsakes are one of a kind, secret stories to wear around your neck and reveal only to those you choose. Two tiny gouache paintings fit into either side of a vintage brass locket one inch (2.54 cm) in diameter; when opened, they form a tidy little diptych. Each image is painted and signed with miniscule brushes, and are then sealed with a glass-like varnish to protect them against the elements. The lockets themselves are left unpolished, so they retain their original time-worn patina.

Please note: these vintage lockets seal tightly, but they are not necessarily waterproof. Avoid wearing outdoors in the event of thunderstorms, blizzards, or any other dramatic natural disasters.
