An Interchangeable Necklace

Description

The antique gold-filled watch pin on this necklace has a hook on the back (so women could slide their watch on and off). When I saw it, a lightbulb went off! An interchangeable necklace - what fun!! So I did it!

I removed the pin from the watch pin back. Added mother of pearl beads, old gold filled chain, some old scarab beads I've been hoarding, more mother of pearl beads with old bead caps, lengths of mother of pearl rosary chain and an old clasp.

For the main feature, you'll have a beautiful old pendant brooch with deep beveled glass over a quite charming looking man and an old shell cameo. It's very easy to make the change, but very difficult for the piece to fall off. The hook on the back is quite long.

Dangling down your back is a sweet, sterling shoe.

This necklace measures 19 inches. The portrait brooch is 1 3/8 inches long and the cameo is 1 1/2 inches long.
