This cake stand is approx. 12 x 16" since the top is not round. It is shown with an 8" cake on top but it would hold up to a 10" cake easily. Convo us if you need a certain quantity of these for your wedding or party. The top of the cake plate is sealed with a food safe wood sealer and can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. This stand would also look beautiful for an outdoor party or picnic in the yard! Imagine it holding an autumn display of flowers or pumpkins. These stands are made from all natural materials and no two are alike. They have the normal scars and knotholes that you would find on any tree or wood piece, which only adds to the charm of these pieces.
