Hemp wrap skirt butterfly applique

Love the wrap skirts!! So comfy and flowy. Perfect for all types of weather and days!

I made this one using a taupe/green Hemp and cotton muslin blend. The first picture represents the true colour.
There is a a button hole covered with a belt loop at the side of the skirt to bring the lower tie through.

I appliqued a large butterfly near the bottom of the skirt. The wings are hand dyed blues/puple hemp and the body is a handdyed brown hemp. the butterfly has a wingspan of 14 inches and is 9 inches high from top of the wing to the bottom.
All my appliques are hand drawn, then transfered to the fabric and ironed on before stitching. All threads are brought to the back and knotted 3 times, to insure an applique that won't come unraveled!
