Medium bowl, Matryoshka (Russian) doll pattern in blue

Description

4 1/2"h x 7" diameter

A soft, satin warm-toned blue called Cornflower with a glossy interior version of the same.

I throw these on the potter’s wheel and then use stamps I design and make to impress and alter the surface of the bowl. My fingerprint is on the other side of each one of the stamps.

This particular stamp is of the Russian nesting Matryoshka doll set I had as a kid (pictured).

The undulation from the stamping creates a wonderfully soft and tactile surface for this elegant service piece.

Elegant and intended for your use and enjoyment much like Grandma’s dishes, handmade pottery can need (and happily, deserves) a little more love to prolong its life than contemporary manufactured ware. While durable and microwavable, hand washing is recommended.

The clay and glazes are lead-free and food safe.
