Vueltiaito n.4 - A Colombian vueltiao hat for babies

This 100% cotton hat is perfect to shield your little one from the harsh rays of sun. It also photographs beautifully, and gets an unbelievable amount of compliments from strangers in the street. The style is inspired by the traditional Colombian "vueltiao" hat, a work of art and symbol of a nation.

Colors on this one are black and straw, similar to the colors found on traditional vueltiaos.

SIZING INFORMATION

Approximate dimensions:

• Head circumference: 18.25 inches (46.5 cms)
• Crown to brim length: 5.75 inches (14.5 cms)

According to U.S. standard growth charts, this hat should fit most babies from 6 to 9 months of age. It may fit some babies up to 12 months of age, but of course baby may not be willing to wear *any* hat by then.

Please note that the above is just a guideline; every baby grows at a different rate and you should measure your baby's head before purchasing this item. The hat has been constructed to fit baby boys up to 75th percentile. U.S growth charts for boys' head circumference are available at:

CARE INFORMATION

This beautiful piece of wearable art may look like a straw hat, but it isn't. And so, it is washable.

Before construction of the hat, I have pre-shrunk all fabrics by washing them on the machine's delicate cycle and tumble drying in low heat.

The hat is very sturdy and can be folded and rolled like the traditional vueltiao. However, I would recommend to hand wash it and air dry it. (I actually never had to wash my baby's vueltiaito during the time he proudly wore it)

NOTE

The last image shows a 7.5-month-old baby wearing a hat with a different design than that of the listed item. It shows however, colors and scale that are the same for this hat.
