I have no doubt that my love of the outdoors is directly related to growing up in rural Maine. Now that my family lives on the coast, a whole different animal from the inland areas, I have grown to love the rocky coast as much as the forests and ponds. I also am completely obsessed with maps, so I thought a large view of Casco Bay would look great.

This one is a bit of an optical illusion as the water is actually the paper, and the land is the holes cut into the paper. The bottom left is the great city of Portland, one of the best cities in the country, and the many, many islands and peninsulas that make up the southern coast of Maine fan out all the way to Acadia National Park.
