Checkered (from Painting a Dog a Day), part of the Saratoga 2009 series
Description
"Checkered," the newest installment in the Saratoga 2009 series of paintings, 8" square, acrylic on canvasboard depicting a Thoroughbred racehorse, $349.I can't decide which I like more in this piece - the bold pattern, the rampant color, or that eye smack dab in the middle of the canvas (which is supposed to be a no-no). Time permitting, I would like to do another one like this, but larger than lifesize, perhaps 20" square. What do you think?
