Fireballbeeds - Marvin the Marvelous Mummy - Artisan lampwork bead (1 bead)

Look what I found in the crypt (kiln?) this morning. Not sure what it was the Marvin wrapped himself in to go to the party as a mummy... he's mostly white but if you sneak him into a dark room he has splotches that glow in the dark!

Marvin is just over an inch square and approx .5 inches thick... His hole is vertical, he was made on 3/32 (3mm) mandrel . He would love to be made into a pendant!

Marvin is like all my other 'fireballbeeds' he was made by me in my Deer Island Studio. All of my beads go directly from my torch flame into my kiln where they are properly kiln annealed for strength and durability. Unlike most of my beads Marvin got into my glow in the dark powder however he didn't manage to put it on evenly so has splotches of glowing green that disappear when you take a picture of him with a flash...

The little black alien in the final picture does a post annealing or durability test on most beads her he is seeing how far a glass bead will go after he's bounced it down the stairs....
