White Iris out in the snow

White iris, delicate, clean, dry, feminine, creamy, timeless, light powder, little sweet

I came across a small niche brand, and was particularly interested in their White Iris. Has long been fascinated by the iris fragrances, and the pure delicate feel they have. It has been most common to use the blue Iris Pallida flower in perfume, as well as white-iris roots. So I was very curious, and was actually pleasantly surprised at the contents of the cute little bottle.

Arte del profumo - White Iris resembles no other iris scent I've tried, and it was a very feminine and delicate fragrance experience. It is in a way brighter and clearer in relation to many other iris fragrances. Scents of the iris is often characterized more by wood and roots, or are richer, and possibly sweeter.

White Iris starts as a cool breath. Quite dry and very sweet, and not change too much along the way. Incense provides a fascinating character, but is not dominant. After a while on the skin, the fragrance is a little warmer and light powder. Musk is noticeable and partly sensual. A very pure and delicate fragrance, and is a relief after a long winter with spicy oriental fragrances.
