Forever Twilight Inspired Bullseye Glass Beaded Skeleton Key Necklace

My parents came to visit me this weekend at an arts festival I was doing. They have been married for 45 years and still act like newlyweds. They are literally the envy of every married girlfriend I have. While my mother was out of earshot talking to another vendor nearby my father quickly went to work searching my booth for the perfect "just because" gift for Mom. He was so cute. As soon as he saw a Twilight inspired key necklace similar to this one that said FOREVER on the tag, he knew he had found the perfect one. He had me box it up quickly so he could surprise her. A few booths down while Mom was checking out my friend Lisa's pinklemonadeboutique.etsy.com handbags he gave her the necklace. I'm pretty sure the Twilight reference was lost on Dad but Mom, a big fan of the series, got it. "Oh Frank the tag says forever!" she exclaimed. He looked at her and a big smile crossed his face. "AWWWW" my mother said and gave him the kind of kiss that would make a vampire blush.

Did you see the BLING on this necklace?! This is a great steampunk necklace that mixes old with new. It is comprised of an old steel skeleton key with a Bullseye glass bead made in the flame of my torch directly on the shaft of the key. The bead is pink. It measures 3/4 of an inch in diameter and 8 mm in width. It was made so that it does move on the key. The key measures 3 inches in length. There is also a second steel key with a pretty 3 holed bow and from that key I have hung a giant pink rhinestone drop that I salvaged from a vintage necklace. It's positively perfect, gorgeous and set in a gunmetal finish bezel. There are 2 charms made from, glass beads, a lampwork bead, Swarovski crystals and sterling findings, and a handstamped aluminum tag that has been handstamped FOREVER and antiqued. The pendant is strung on a 30 inch gunmetal chain with a vintage fillagree charm and a pewter charm with pink and purple enameled flowers (sooo feminine). The chain closes with a lock and key toggle and will add subtle Twilight fever to any outfit.
