Sunset Sand - jasper, copper and sterling silver necklace

Description

I was inspired by the beautiful landscape in this bruneau jasper stone to a create a pendant that follows the natural lines, shapes and colours in the stone, representing the sun setting over the sand dunes.

I have handmade this necklace from sterling silver and copper. I have soldered copper to the silver sheet and then set the stone. The chain extends from the soldered silver jump rings; I’ve attached gorgeous little citrine beads along the chain to symbolize the suns rays. I’ve finished the necklace with a handmade sterling silver extension chain and handmade clasp.

This necklace is one of a kind. It is 16 inches long and can be extended to 17. 5 inches. The pendant is 1 ¼ x 1 1/8 inches (32 x 29 mm).

*** A note about copper *** Copper will slowly oxidize over time; you can easily keep it shiny with regular cleaning or allow it to oxidize and enjoy the deep, organic earthy brown tones it develops.
