1940's Lily Dache (Dachettes) Straw hat with Velvet detailing
Description
This is one of my favorites. This finely woven straw hat features a black velvet bow and band as well as trimming around the brim. Also has large cluster of big red poppies on the side near the bow. Brim at the front of the hat is slightly larger than the back giving it a lovely feminine shape. Lily Dache was one of Hollywood's favorite milliners. Her heyday was in the 1940's as she designed for films and their leading ladies such as Marlene Dietrich, Caroline Lombard and Loretta Young.Beautiful condition with the exception of some slight discoloring on the bottom of the crown from wear. Inner circumference is 20.5".
