Mid-Century Modern Lucent Melmac Cups

Description

This pair of rare melmac cups made by the Lucent Corporation in the mid 1950's is an exciting find. These sky blue cups are marked with the Lucent Dinnerware logo on the bottom and show some interior staining from over 50 years of use. From my research, it is said that Raymond Loewy (1893-1986), one of the world's most successful and best-known industrial designers, produced designs for this modern dinnerware.

These cups measure 3" tall by 3 1/2" wide and boast a unique pedestal foot and asymmetrical shape.
