Purple and Red Fiesta Shawl

Description

All the bright colors in this shawl made it a blast to knit. There are handspuns, some natural hand-dyed yarns, cochineal and indigo and combinations there of. Then I picked up some rayons, some mohair, and some wacky novelty yarns in purples. The handspun is from the red/purple yarn I also have for sale in the shop. I used it in the bottom of the ruffle and off and on throughout the piece.

Shawl measures 66 inches wide by 35 inches long (counting the ruffle).

This yarn has not been superwash treated, so the wools will felt. I suggest handwashing all handspun yarns in cool water with mild soap. These have been in a smoke-free, cat-free environment. Occasionally, my little dog frequents the studio but she has good fiber manners.
