Spin Your Own Socks Socks In 3-D

3-D just isn't what it used to be. Now we get gray glasses instead of those neat blue and red ones? Psh. On a recent trip to the movies, we got a pair of old school 3-D glasses on the kid's snack pack. Not only were they great for looking at the 3-D picts on the box, they make awesome sunglasses. Or so says my 2 year old. One red batt, one blue. With reds, blues, purples and yellows.
It appears I took picts of the batts separately. You get them both. In the same bag. I promise. It appears I was having a rough photo day.
These bats are a full 4 oz, which is a good average for making socks. (It comes as two 2 oz batts) They are made from a blend of 75% superwash wool and 25% nylon. The superwash wool keeps your feet warm and insulated but will not felt in the wash. The nylon gives the socks strength. The nylon I use is also super sparkly so it will add a great flash to your socks! The nylon has also been dyed to match the wool. I have spun socks up with both a two ply (spin one batt, spin the other batt seperatley, ply together) and the traditional 3 ply (spin both batts into one yarn, navajo ply) and been happy with both. This batt set leans more twards the two ply.
Of course you could use this yarn for something other than socks. But know that it will not felt, so don't make that felted hat with it!
