Spin Your Own Socks-Outside

I'm outside when I dye, it inspires the colors I use. Lovely greens with a hint of blue.

I'm so excited to be offering sock batts! These bats are a full 4 oz, which is a good average for making socks. (It comes as two 2 oz batts.) They are made from a blend of 75% superwash wool and 25% nylon. The superwash wool keeps your feet warm and insulated but will not felt in the wash. The nylon gives the socks strength. The nylon I use is also super sparkly so it will add a great flash to your socks! The nylon has also been dyed to match the wool. I have spun socks up with both a two ply (spin one batt, spin the other batt seperatley, ply together) and the traditional 3 ply (spin both batts into one yarn, navajo ply) and been happy with both.
Of course you could use this yarn for something other than socks. But know that it will not felt, so don't make that felted hat with it!
