Chromolithographic Book Plate - BIGGLE POULTRY - Indian Games

Description

This is plate number 12 from the pocket sized classic tome of the early 20th century (circa 1911) "Biggle Poultry Book" which was part of a series called the Biggle Farm Library. Sadly, my copy is damaged, broken and incomplete so I'm putting the individual prints on Etsy for your use and delectation.

Though the plates show their age to some degree, they are remarkably colorful and rich in detail. The images are crisp and eye-catching and mainly contained within an oval on the page so a boldly colored oval mount would suit them beautifully. You could mount them singly or in pairs and give them pride of place in your kitchen or chicken coop!

The print has some discoloration and edge wear and some historical creasing visible on the back, none of which affect its appeal or its ability to enliven your collage work or your wall.

The pages are 5 1/4 inches wide by 3 1/2 inches high.
