Rock and Roll Teen Guitar Player 50s Planter Rubens

Description

It was love at first sight when I first saw this planter! Being a child of the rock and roll era it really spoke to me of Fabian, Elvis, Buddy Holly, Rickey Nelson and all the great teen star idols of the late 50s and 60s. The little portable record player with changer where you could stack em up and have all your favorites playing for hours.
45-rpm records and loafers, bottles of coke, this planter has it all!
The planter is made of white porcelain in a rectangular size measuring 5” long x 3” wide x 4” high. The front has a figure of a teenage boy or young adult sitting playing his guitar surrounded by his record player bottles of soda and records.
The bottom is marked 585 with a stamp, a sticker and an incised R for Rubens.
This vintage planter is in very nice used condition; there is no crazing or cracks.
There is a tiny rough spot or nick in the boys pant leg and another in the edge of a record. the planter was used as a pencil holder so you will find a spot of ink under the edge inside.
Use on your desk or worktable to hold your own pens, pencils or brushes. If you have an old record player this would be a good place to store record centers, needles or other accessories.
The 50s themed teen bedroom could not be without this wonderful planter!
