Vegan Convertible Fingerless Gloves Mittens with Thumb Flaps in Pearl Shadows Size 6.5 to 7.25

Here's a wonderful pair of convertible mitts for the person who can't or chooses not to wear animal fibers. I have been researching plant fibers but have found they are all for warmer weather items. Therefore, the warmest choice of non-animal fiber I know of at this time is synthetic. I used this yarn for a pair of mitts for my daughter who has sensory issues and she loved how soft they were. She even said her mitts were, "Surprisingly warm".

These Vegan friendly mitts are in a color called "Pearl Frost". This is a four ply worsted weight yarn made from soft, lustrous acrylic fiber. One of the four plies is specially dyed to create beautiful shadowy self-striping effects. "Pearl Frost" is a wonderful mix of Cream with shades of beige.

I've been tweaking my mitt design and have made the cuff a bit wider and extended the fingers to the first knuckle.

These are crocheted using a tight thermo stitch so are fairly dense, with ample flap overlap to keep in the warmth.

The idea for thumb flaps was given to me by a customer after trying to use a pen while wearing her new convertible gloves.

With a flick of your finger you can open the thumb flap and use a pen without removing your gloves. Or pop both thumb flaps and you can text away on your cell or work comfortably in a chilly workplace or classroom!!

This pair measures about 7.5"(19.05cm) in circumference and 7.5"(19.05cm) from wrist to tip of mitt without any stretching. After compensating for the density of the yarn these mitts will fit a hand about 6.5" to 7.25" in size. The cuffs are about 3.25"(8.3cm) wide.

To find out your glove size measure from the base of your palm to the tip of your middle finger. Also measure around your palm at the knuckles. The measurements are usually the same, but if not, go by the larger number or check the measurements I've listed. If you have any question about how these gloves will fit your hand just send me your measurements.

There is a loop and button to keep the flap back on each glove when going fingerless. I try hard to find just the right buttons to accent each pair of gloves.

Made of an easy care acrylic yarn they are machine wash and dryable. I have prewashed them so there'll be no surprise shrinkage.
