This sweet little band is another in the vampire line of band rings. This one was inspired by the novels of Charlaine Harris, centered around her heroine, Sookie Stackhouse, who has many dealings with vampires through numerous novels.

Made with red and black resin, this little band is dainty and quite slim, yet the vivid colors pack quite a punch.

THE PROCESS: Made completely by hand, this ring is One of a kind. I spend time creating my own molds for my rings before pouring pigment tinted resins. After the resin has been poured and it has cured, I then sculpt to find the overall shape of the ring before I start the sanding process. This takes time and patience, and a steady hand. The final stage of each ring is polishing to a brilliant shine.

Each ring is time consuming, but it is always fascinating to watch a ring evolve, take shape, and I enjoy seeing how the colors melded together in the mold. Resin can never be an exact science, especially when you are using more than one color.
