Ronson Varaflame Starfire Butane Pocket Cigarette Lighter 1960s
Description
This goldtone pocket lighter from Ronson has a great early 1960s jet-age streamline look to it.Currently it doesn't produce a flame, but the sparking mechanism still works. (I saw at least one spark.) Might just need some butane and maybe a new flint.
I hate to promote smoking, so I recommend you use this lighter to light your candles! (An ad from 1963 says you can use it to light anything. It was one of the first lighters on which you could adjust the flame.)
Lighter is about 2" tall and 1.25" wide and 1/2" thick. The metal is a light gold tone (some of the pictures make it look more yellow than it is.)
It has a space that can be monogrammed, which has been left blank. It has a few dings and scratches.
Thanks for looking!
