Description
A delicate, hand-colored engraving bearing engraved signature of the artist H. Leger. The detail is lovely and color has been applied with great care.The two large figures display the latest to wear from France on the boardwalk in the early summer of 1891. In the background, these same figures are shown turned away to allow us to see the back view of these outfits. Lovely detail of striped canvas changing huts on the beach behind them.
On heavy paper with no text to the reverse. As you can see from the scan (note text at bottom of page), this was possibly cut down at some point from their original size (or printed badly), though this makes little difference for framing purposes or if you want to use the figures for a mixed media or collage project.
Slight creasing and edge wear that you would expect in a print of this age. Good condition overall.
