Antique Chromolithograph Landscape Scene of a Shepherdess with her Flock
Description
Against the backdrop of a grey, threatening sky, she cradles a new lamb in her arms as she stands among her flock on a dirt path with looming grey hills in the distance. Wonderful detail and muted colors.On heavy card and with hand-cut edges. Condition is very good with crisp edges, small surface losses show as white pinpoints on scan, lower right corner bent up.
Probably dating to the 1870s-80s and printed by Bufford's Oil Chromo in Boston.
