Green Stone Pendant Lucet Hemp Necklace

Description

This is a simple and natural necklace. I braided the natural hemp cord with a four pronged lucet fork. Lucet cord is square, strong, and slightly springy. It closely resembles knitted I-cord or the cord produced on a knitting spool. Lucet cord is formed by a series of loops, and will therefore unravel if cut. Lucet braiding is believed to date back to the Viking and Medieval periods, when it was utilized to create cords that were used on clothing, or to hang useful items from the belt. The pendant is green stone and really compliments the natural hemp lucet braid. The necklace measures 18 inches and features a pure copper toggle clasp. The pendant measures almost 2.5 inches. It is truly a unique creation.
