Worldly Melange

Description

I created these earrings with both elements of the Art Nouveau and Egyptian art in the back of my mind. The turquoise is from the Kingman mine in Arizona, so the South-West is also represented.
A genuine mélange of Europe, Africa and America. :)

Raw brass was shaped and hammered for strength and partly woven with thin brass wire to create a winglike feature . A single drop of Kingman mine turquoise is suspended from the center, and vintage brass chains were added to create subtle movement .

All metal used is natural brass. The Kingman turquoise drops measure 14mm x 10mm. The brass will get a nice patina if not cleaned, which will emphasise the antique look. If you like the brass shiny, you can gently polish with a silver cloth.

To extend the life of this unique jewelry, please do not bring in contact with oils, perfume, water etc.
