High Maintenance Machine Cat Collection

Description

This handsome, hand-bound edition collects all of the High Maintenance Machine strips featuring the cats, Montana and Elmer. High Maintenance Machine was the daily cartoon diary of Matthew Reidsma, which ran for over two years.

The introduction is by Paisley the cat, the feline cartoonist behind Hey Pais!. There are a total of 80 pages printed on Mohawk superfine 80lb paper, hard bound with a cloth spine over decorative paper by the extraordinarily talented Wendy Withrow of Windy Weather Bindery.

In December, Elmer developed some kidney problems. Wendy and Matthew had just moved from Boston to Grand Rapids, Michigan. (Full disclosure: Wendy and Matthew are married. Three cheers for teamwork!) Over the course of the next few months, Elmer's medical bills rose, and neither Wendy nor Matthew had much luck finding a job. Being the good capitalists that they are, they decided to publish a collection of comics that featured Elmer and his sister, Montana, to raise money to pay for Elmer's medical care. This is that book!
