Why kids' clothing manufacturers insist on making baby and toddler clothes in white is beyond me. I for one have yet to have a white garment of mine or my children remain white past its second wearing, which is one of the reasons I love to tie-dye second-hand items and give them new life.

This adorable pair of 18-month KidsRUs 100% cotton pants has been dyed in a patchwork pattern that's as distinctive as the little girl wearing them. The polyester and nylon trim remained white after dyeing to create a lovely accent.
